Terms of Service

1. Account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• The e-mail address you provide must be real and belong to you.
• You are responsible for the security of your account and for any actions taken through it.
• If you notice suspicious access, change your password immediately and contact us.

2. Scope of the Service

PinThis lets users collect and organise social-media content (Instagram posts, etc.) they like in a personal collection. We store a small-scale preview (cover image, caption, counters) of the content you pin; clicking the pin redirects the user to the original platform.

PinThis is not the owner of the social-media content; we do not produce it, do not permanently reproduce it, and do not market it through advertising.

3. Pin Visibility & Attribution

Pins you create are public by default and may appear in the PinThis community's Trends and Discover feeds. Public pins display the pinner's @username and a link to your profile underneath.

If you don't want this attribution, you can mark any pin as Private — private pins appear only on your own My Pins page and your username is never shown publicly. The visibility of a pin can be toggled at creation time or later via the lock icon on the pin card.

To keep your entire profile closed, set Preferences → Profile Visibility → Private; that prevents anyone else from accessing your /u/<username> page. (Public pins still appear in Discover; to hide them all you must set each pin private.)

4. User Responsibility — Content & Attributions

PinThis is a passive bookmarking service. You are entirely responsible for the copyright, legal compliance and ethical standing of every pin you save. You must ensure that the content you pin does not infringe the original creator's rights, harm third parties' dignity or reputation, and complies with applicable law.

Comments, tags and category names you author carry the same legal responsibility. PinThis acts as a passive intermediary and does not pre-moderate any user-generated text, image or link.

When we receive a copyright or personality-rights complaint about a pin / comment / tag, we operate a standard notice & takedown process: the offending content is removed promptly and the account may be suspended pending review. Reports: [email protected]

5. Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on PinThis under any circumstance:

• Profanity, insults, threats, harassment, hate speech, racist / sexist / homophobic content
• Illegal content: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorist propaganda, human trafficking, drug or weapons trade, fraud, money laundering, gambling promotion, pirated software or media distribution
• Republishing copyrighted content as a substitute for the original source, or removing the attribution / link to the original pin
• Impersonating another person, creating fake profiles, using someone else's photo as your avatar
• Spam, automated bots, scraping; attempting to bypass CAPTCHA or rate limits
• Unauthorised access to the technical infrastructure, penetration testing, reverse engineering, exploiting security vulnerabilities
• Collecting other users' personal data without consent; doxxing
• Advertising, multi-level marketing (MLM), pyramid schemes or similar spam-marketing

We reserve the right to remove content, indefinitely suspend, and permanently terminate any account violating these rules without prior notice. Where the violation warrants it, the matter will be reported to relevant prosecutors and regulators, and all system logs (IP, UA, timestamps) will be handed over.

6. Logging, IP Records & Legal Requests

For legal compliance and service security we maintain technical logs of account and content actions:

• IP address — captured on register, login, password reset, pin creation, comment, like, flag, and every account-bearing action
• Browser User-Agent, timestamp, session identifier
• Edit history — when a comment / pin is edited or deleted, the previous content is retained alongside the IP and UA

These logs are retained for 365 days (within Turkish Law No. 5651 framework) and automatically purged thereafter. When a competent judicial or administrative authority makes a written request, the relevant records are shared within the legal framework. In any user-related legal complaint, these records have evidentiary value.

In disputes between users, PinThis may share logs with the legal authorities without prior notice to the parties; no additional consent from the user is required for this sharing.

7. Third-Party Trademarks

Instagram, Meta, Facebook, X / Twitter, TikTok and other platform names are registered trademarks of their respective owners. PinThis is not affiliated with, partnered with, or endorsed by these companies; it is an independent third-party bookmark service.

Content on these platforms is subject to the platform's own terms. If a piece of pinned content is removed from its original platform, the preview on PinThis becomes inaccessible accordingly.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time. Once a deletion request is received, all of your pins and personal data are permanently removed within 30 days (see Privacy Policy, §5).

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no express or implied warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or virus-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

The accuracy, freshness or legal compliance of pinned content is the responsibility of the respective user and the original platform.

10. Changes to the Service

We may update the Service, usage quotas or these terms from time to time. We will notify you by e-mail of material changes; minor updates will only be published on this page.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Istanbul Courts and Enforcement Offices.
