🚨 Trigger warning: needles, injections, and blood. 🚨 If that’s not your thing, feel free to scroll past this one. This cyst on my inner thigh was probably one of the worst ones I’ve had in a while. The pain was honestly a 100/10 — the kind where every step, every shift, every little movement reminds you it’s there. Getting it injected today was… pretty awful. I won’t sugarcoat that part. When a cyst is that inflamed, those injections are intense. I’m actually kind of glad my face isn’t in this video because I was fully holding back tears while it was happening. Living with HS already means dealing with flares, inflammation, and a lot of unpredictable pain. So getting these one-off cysts on top of HS flares definitely isn’t ideal. But at this point I know the drill. Even though the injections suck in the moment, they always bring relief. And when the pain is this bad, those few minutes of discomfort are worth it knowing that the pressure and inflammation should start calming down soon. Chronic illness has a way of forcing you to pick your battles. Today’s battle was a needle, a very angry cyst, and me trying not to cry on the exam table.
