🎬 Allied (2016) Allied (2016) is a romantic war thriller directed by Robert Zemeckis. The story follows Canadian intelligence officer Max Vatan, who is sent to North Africa during World War II on a dangerous mission. There he meets French Resistance fighter Marianne Beauséjour, and together they pose as a married couple while carrying out an assassination of a German official.
